If you have recently had a piercing, make sure to keep your hands away from your ears. Some parts of your body are sensitive to swelling and infection. Even if you plan to touch your ear, you should start feeling caution because there is a high risk of infection that way.
It is possible to hear a pinching sound when you touch the area of the piercing. This is normal, and you will start feeling some irritation or itching around a week after the first piercing. If the irritation gets worse, you should be aware of it. If you notice that you can’t move your hand or it becomes painful when you try to remove the earring, you should remove the piercing right away.
